My domain name is not working and it appears in a Server Hold/Withdrawn status in the public WHOIS database. Why is this?

Learn how to report registration data inaccuracy to EURid, log into my.eurid.eu, update your contact details in WHOIS, and manage registration changes based on citizenship.

If your domain name is not working and it status in the WHOIS is:

  • ‘ServerHold’: your domain is temporarily inactive (i.e. any website and/or email linked to it do not function) because it is under internal investigation;
  • ‘Withdrawn’ your domain name is no longer registered, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Please note that both statuses may be the consequence of a required validation of your domain name registration  data as well as the result of a legal investigation such as, but not limited to, an ADR proceeding.

Therefore please make sure the email address linked to your domain is kept up-to-date at all times and check if you have received emails from EURid before contacting our support to know more about about your case.
