A registrar processes the transfer:
- Contact your current registrar to find out how to change the holder of your domain name.
- You should provide the code to a new registrar if you want to transfer your domain from your current registrar.
- If you want to change both the registrar and the holder, send the transfer authorization code to the future holder of the domain name, who in turn must send it to their registrar to process the transfer*.
As long as a valid authorization code is used, a transfer cannot be stopped by your current registrar or by EURid.
! Please note that transferring a suspended domain name to another registrar is prohibited, except in cases described in EURid’s Registration Data Verification Policy. Although transfer codes may be issued by the registrar, EURid, or the registrant through the My .eu platform, the transfer cannot be completed while the domain is in suspended status (displayed as 'Server Hold' status when looking up the domain name on WHOIS).
