When the Registry is notified of a legal dispute involving a .eu domain name, it places the domain name ‘on hold’ in accordance with the Terms and Conditions for .eu, .ею and .ευ domain names.
While the domain name is ‘on hold’:
The domain name cannot be transferred to another private individual or legal entity (registrant).
The domain name cannot be transferred to another registrar.
The registration data related to the domain name cannot be modified.
The website and email linked to the domain name remain fully active.
The ‘on hold’ status remains in effect until the Registry is notified of, and implements, the outcome of a .eu Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or court proceeding.
